YESDGS Manifesto

YESDGS Manifesto

A collective outcome of a youth-driven hackathon bringing together young people and youth workers to collaborate, innovate and drive change – tackling today’s global challenges through creativity, teamwork and shared vision.
This manifesto has been designed to briefly present the ideas, priorities and solutions developed by young people and youth workers (aged 16–30) during the YESDGs Hackathon - a dynamic, youth-led event that challenged participants to address some of today’s most pressing global issues through creativity, collaboration and innovation. The aim of this manifesto is to be widely shared among young people, youth workers, educators, civil society, institutions and policy makers - with the goal of giving voice to youth perspectives and inspiring meaningful action. The entire YESDGs project consortium would like to fully acknowledge the ownership and credit of all ideas presented in this manifesto to the hackathon participants.
This manifesto reflects what young people can achieve when they are trusted, supported and heard. Each contribution is rooted in lived experience and shows how creativity and collaboration can turn shared challenges into meaningful responses. Their proposals offer valuable insights for those working in education, youth work, civil society, and public institutions. They are an invitation to listen, to support, and to work with young people - not just on their behalf. The YESDGs consortium encourages anyone interested in learning more or supporting these ideas to reach out to the young creators: please contact the YESDGS Ambassadors Network
